Gattman, Miss.[WCBI]-Had trouble growing cantaloupes in your backyard garden this season, you may find this interesting.

Well you might want to get tips from a Gattman produce grower that can’t really explain how his crop grew to a whopping size.

No fertilizer was used and the seeds planted in May came from the coop. The cantaloupes nurtured by farmer J. B. Heard are too big to fit into a 5 gallon bucket.

“They are good. They just as good as the small ones. Everybody said the same taste was in them was in the small ones. So they are good. I don’t know, the Lord made them I didn’t,” said J. B. Heard/Gattman Melon Grower.

Heard grew about an acre of those giant melons and gives them out to his neighbors.
