ALICEVILLE, Ala.[WCBI]–Officials and other employees at the federal prison in Aliceville Alabama have adopted the entire Aliceville Elementary School, and you know what that means this holiday season.

Its a huge gift distribution where 350 of children living in the West Alabama Black Belt Region are enjoying an early Christmas Day.

With Santa and Mrs Claus close by her side, Prison Warden Arcola Washington-Aducci is giving children of their adopted school bundles of presents. Making sure they get whats on their letter to Santa.

“Toys, gifts, clothing. Whatever you might ask. Who ever, whatever a kid wanted on their list. They had three, they could select three things that they wanted. They either got one of those items or they got all three of those items,” said Laconya Williams, PIO FCI Aliceville.

“I have a Brawny Buddy and a race car,” said Jordan Sterling, Aliceville Elementary School.

For some of the children, many obstacles often stand in the way of them having the most merriest of Christmas this holiday season.

“Not all of the kids are fortunate to have a good Christmas. This is our way of giving back to the community, to make an impact from the federal correctional Institution,” said Williams.

Aliceville third grader Kiara Henderson certainly got what was on her wish list. A Dress Me Doll, and a Furry Puppy that’s able to even wear cool shades.

“I always wanted one. I saw one at Walmart but I just couldn’t get it. Because they said that Santa Claus was coming soon, so she said I couldn’t get it yet,” said Henderson.

“I feel like its a special thing that they could do from the heart. And I really appreciate it,” said Wilson.

“I thank the prison for bringing us these toys because they really didn’t have to do this. And its just a blessing,” said Sterling.

This is the second year the federal correctional prison have been partnering and supporting Aliceville Elementary School.
