LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Construction begins on a $1.8 million housing project that will further drive the economic engine of a storm torn town. Louisville Mayor Will Hill and executive board members of the Focus Outreach Community Development Corporation broke ground on Focus Manor Monday afternoon.

After four years of planning, the group was awarded the financial funding by HUD to build the 14 housing units. The project will provide housing and care for individuals with disabilities.

The site is located at the corner of John Stennis Road and Jones Avenue.

Focus Manor should be complete in 9 months.
