Video: Gun Ban In Calhoun County

CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) -They’ve banned guns in the county courthouse and Calhoun county is one of the first counties to do it.

Attorney General Jim Hood issued an opinion saying local governments can ban guns from county courthouse grounds.

Even if the person has a concealed carry permit.

Calhoun County supervisors approved the ban Friday and will post signs alerting gun carriers.

Judges and sheriffs in several districts have been considering similar bans but have been waiting for Hood’s office to issue an opinion.
