Video: Higher Water Bills Coming for Macon Customers

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) – Macon Residents will soon be paying more for their water. The Board of Aldermen approved a rate increase at their recent meeting. Minimum charges will stay the same, but charges for water used beyond the minimum are going up. Customers who live in the city will see their rates go up thirty cents for each one thousand gallons over the 3 thousand gallon minimum. Residential customers who live outside the city will see their rates go up forty-five cents per thousand gallons over the minimum.
