FULTON, Miss. (WCBI) — A historic preservation project in Fulton takes a major step forward. Dozens have volunteers have ripped out the insides of the historic Gaither House, getting it ready for the next round of instructions from the state Department of Archives and History. The 150-year-old home was moved more than two years ago to avoid the wrecking ball. The city and Fulton Community Volunteers partnered to have the home designated a historic landmark and began raising money to restore it to its original condition. The exterior work is largely completed with the interior work now ready to begin.
