Video: Hometown NFL Player and Former College Standouts Help in Tupelo Relief Efforts

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A meet and greet with college and pro football players taking part in tomorrow’s “Touchdowns for Tornado Relief” fundraiser was held Friday night in Tupelo. Former Mississippi State Bulldogs Cameron Floyd, Tyler Russell, and now Jacksonville Jaguar Chad Bumphis will take part. While former Ole Miss stars Dedrick Clark and Romaro Miller will also participate.

“Really excited to be able to bring all these NFL players , and former college players here. That way they can give back, These guys are not getting paid , they’re coming out here to donate because they care about the city of Tupelo and the things happening here as well as I do.”
“Knowing what happened here and having guys come back and help and donate, being able to give time, is the main thing and being able to come back and donate is huge, got a lot of players excited about it, I think it will be a good turnout.”

The fundraiser takes place at the Ballard Park Soccer Fields. a $30.00 fee includes a t-shirt and lunch. Proceeds go to tornado relief efforts through the CREATE Foundation.
