HOUSTON, Miss. – (WCBI) A Houston neighborhood that’s dealt with its share of pot holes and drainage problems for years is seeing some relief.
City crews are digging up old curbs and pavement along Chestnut Street. Plans also call for the installation of new drainage and underground lines.

Nearby Griffin and Pecan Lanes are also on the list for work this summer.

The areas were moved to the top of the city’s list of repairs after work was delayed for two years because aldermen had to balance street work with available bond money.
