LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Over a hundred bikers rode down Highway 12 Saturday in honor of John Bryant and Kobe Strickland.

Riders from all over the state rode 20 miles starting from the Old Country Store in Steens to the New Hope Community Center. Bikers gave their respects as they passed by the spot where Bryant and Strickland were killed in a motorcycle accident last December. One organizer says she is overwhelmed by the support.

“When I started doing this I didn’t think it was going to be this big but I’m really excited that so many different people are coming out and coming together and working together to do this,” says Schatzi Whitehead-Henderson.

All proceeds from the ride will go to funeral costs for the family.
