Video: Interim Circuit Clerk Appointed in Chickasaw County

CHICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Chickasaw County Supervisors have appointed an interim circuit clerk to office.

Long-time county employee Cassandra Pulliam is expected to fill the position held by Sandra Willis since 1992. Willis died Sunday after losing her battle with cancer.

Pulliam has mixed feeling as she accepts the job.

“Well its kind of a bitter sweet appointment there, you know,” Pulliam said. “Hate to lose my boss, but she has taught us so we’re going to move forward with what she has trained us to do in a positive direction.”

Pulliam fills a remaining term which ends January 2016.
