Columbus, MS (WCBI) — KIOR in Columbus says it is on pace to have its largest production quarter ever. The company, which makes fuel from wood wastes, says it produced 410 thousand gallons in the last quarter. That is nearly half of the 910 thousand gallons it says were produced during 2013. KIOR president Fred Cannon says 2014 will focus more on improving profit margins for the company and making some mechanical changes to the plant to ultimately increase yields. He adds those changes might mean production volumes could be lower.
