STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)– Starkville leaders are planning for the future, and they took some of the first steps today. The mayor and board of aldermen met with Phil Hardwick, Project Manager at Mississippi State’s Stennis Institute of Government. Aldermen gave their input for a strategic plan. Oktibbeha County Supervisors and the Greater Starkville Development Partnership are also developing strategies that will be discussed.

“Those organizations are doing their own individual strategic plans. That will be followed by a final wrap up meeting with all three organizations, so that they will share their strategic plans and they will know what page the other organization is on. So they can all work together.”

Three to five years is the timetable that Oktibbeha County leaders are targeting in their future plans
