Video: Lee County Man Charged with Sexual Battery of a Minor

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lee County man is behind bars after being charged with sexual battery. Last month, allegations were presented against Marty Wayne Oswalt, of Baldwyn, for sexual battery of a child under the age of 18. Oswalt has no previous charges, but he did have a relationship to the victim.

” Our office is always careful not to jump the gun, look into it, substantiate the allegations in which we have on this one. We came before the courts, presented a probable cause hearing , got an arrest warrant issued, Mr.Oswalt was arrested. Brought Mr.Oswalt before the court today with a very preliminary part of the case.”

Bond for Oswalt was set at 250 thousand dollars.
