JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – Most people already thought it was the law. Now the Legislature is trying to make sure. The House today made it a misdemeanor to vote in one party’s primary and then in the other party’s primary run off.

It became an issue last June when Republican Chris McDaniel claimed Democrats crossed over and voted in the Republican runoff, helping Cochran defeat McDaniel. The law already bans people from voting in two primaries on the same day.
