Video: Local Group Raises Money for Wounded Vets

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Dozens of Columbus residents braced the heat Sunday afternoon to support a good cause.

They took over the Columbus Riverwalk for the 2nd Annual Veterans Memorial Walk/Run.

It’s a fundraiser for the Richard E. Holmes II Memorial Foundation, which helps veterans after they return home and transition to civilian life.

Organizers say they plan to have this event again next year on the Sunday before Memorial Day.
