COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A new state law prohibiting the delivery of poultry products is discussed over the lunch table today at Columbus Rotary. Ali Fratesi, owner of Beaver Dam Fresh Farms in West Point says the new law has created a strain on business. A petition is being circulated to urge lawmakers to create a new plan. Now, Fratesi is finding new ways to make sales.

“We’ve kind of built up our pork operation a little bit more, and selling more vegetables and things like that. So, just doing what we can until things hopefully improve.”

Fratesi says customers can come to Beaver Dam Farms to purchase chickens.
