Video: Longtime Tupelo Employee Remembered

TUPELO, Miss. – (WCBI) The Chief Building Inspector for the city of Tupelo has passed away. David Wammack Monday morning. He had served in the city’s inspection department for more than twenty years.

Details of how he died haven’t been released, but he is being remembered as a family man, who made a huge impact on building and development throughout the city.

“He was a great guy, I am in the building industry and he was the kind of guy that was there to help, not only was he the code enforcement officer, but he was helping the contractors, get through the code make sure they were doing it right,” says Lynn Bryan, Tupelo City Council.

Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
