LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — One of the areas hit hard by the April 28th tornado in Louisville was Piney Wood Street in Louisville.

But with help from the group Winston Strong, a group of area churches, and The Mennonite Disaster Service houses are being renovated one home at a time. Its been about six months since Louisville resident Leotha Moore was displaced by the storm.

“They did a good job and it just makes me want to cry, because I’m so happy that my sister’s home, she is coming back to it,” said Joyce Rush, the home owner’s sister.

“So its amazing to see that she got to get back into her home finally, this will be her first night here,” said Deshonta Shannon/Winston Strong Case Worker.

The home is renovated just in time for the families to spend Thanksgiving together.
