COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A dorm on fire at the Mississippi University for Women is the training exercise Lowndes County first responders are planning.

A final preparation meeting was held today.

Response time, execution and effectiveness will be evaluated in the drill.

Emergency management, firefighters, officers and MUW staff will also work on the best ways to accurately release information to the media and public.

The training exercise is scheduled for next month.
