Video: Madison County Resident Dies from West Nile Virus

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — The West Nile Virus has claimed a second life in Mississippi.

The State Department of Health has reported that a Madison County resident has died of the disease.

So far this year there have been 15 human cases of West Nile reported statewide, none in the viewing area.

This is down from last year’s 45 cases and five deaths.
