Video: Major Lowndes County Industry Receives New Name

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-Starting Saturday, American Eurocopter will be known as Airbus Helicopters but company leaders say the company’s focus on making one of the world’s most popular helicopters will remain.

The company’s European parent company EADS, announced the overall name change and re-branding last summer along with a redesign of  logos, web sites and marketing materials.

About 250 people work at the Lowndes County plant, which opened almost a decade ago.
