STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Local McDonald’s employees got some help with their back to school shopping from their boss.

Today, the O’Ferrall Management group, which owns seven McDonald’s restaurants in the Golden Triangle, donated custom-made backpacks filled with school supplies to the children of all its employees.

In all, the company distributed 400 backpacks. Company leaders says it was their way of saying “thank you” for your hard work.

“It was a nice thing to do to help us out for the school supplies, and to show that they appreciate us and our children,” Starkville McDonald’s Employee David Jefferson said.

“They work a lot and they don’t really have the time or a lot of time and finances to be able to buy everything their kids may need, especially when they get in grade school,” Crystal Cunningham with O’Ferrall Management Group said.

The company owns McDonald’s restaurants in Columbus, Starkville, Louisville, West Point and Macon.
