WINSTON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — The Mennonite Disaster Service in Winston County commits to staying in the tornado-battered community for the next two years.

Mennonite and Amish volunteers from Pennsylvania, Indiana and Ohio arrived in Louisville right after the storm.

They’ve done thousands of hours of cleanup, removed debris and made repairs for under-insured homeowners.

MDS is building a campsite for volunteers. About 30 will be in the area on a weekly basis. Projects will include roof and damage repair.
