COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-During Tuesday afternoon’s luncheon at the Old Columbus Country Club, Columbus Rotarians mulled over the importance of creating a stronger economic environment in Mississippi and the Golden Triangle.

Mississippi Economic Council President and CEO Blake Wilson elaborated on the importance education and healthcare being an economic driver to long term success.

“This is an economic center of excellence in healthcare….Columbus, Lowndes County area has great resources in this regard and so how do we maximize them even to a higher level. How do we turn healthcare into economic development,” said Wilson, MEC President & CEO.

Wilson, using his power point presentation went over a blueprint of nine key point of his economic presentation.
