HAMILTON, Miss. (WCBI) After almost two weeks of searches and public pleas, law enforcement agencies in two counties have few clues to whereabouts of a 69-year-old Monroe County man. Monroe and Lowndes County investigators have talked to friends and acquaintances with little luck.

William Harold Wright has been missing since the night of April 10th. His sister, Diane Hamilton lives less than a mile from Wright’s Hamilton residence and has been baffled by his disappearance. She says Wright was always known as a predictable man, and his absence has caused his family, which includes a son and daughter, great anixety.

“It’s just like your whole world stops and all you can concentrate on is finding this person. That’s all you can do. And it’s just me and Harold left in our family. I don’t want to go to my grave not knowing what happened to my brother,” said Hamilton.

What is known is that Harold was last seen in a white truck. He nor the truck have been seen since. Diane believes that a car accident is one plausible explanation for his absence.Another slightly more complicated scenario involves the presence of an outside party. Lowndes County investigators have talked to one woman who supposedly was with him sometime around April 11th but that didn’t lead anywhere.

“One of the stories we get is he was flashing money around. This day in age you can get killed over a ten dollar bill,” said Hamilton.

Hamilton has no idea why someone would hurt her brother, she just wants answers. She has a plea of her own for him.

“Harold, we love you. Please, please, contact one of us. You are loved, come home.”

Harold’s family is offering a $5,000 reward for anyone with information on his whereabouts.

If you have any information on Harold Wright, contact the Monroe or Lowndes County Sherrifs Department.
