WEST ALABAMA (WCBI) — As Mississippi State University takes on the University of Alabama on Saturday, game day traffic is becoming more and more of a concern.

With one direct route from Starkville to Tuscaloosa, small towns along the way will see a surplus in traffic.

There will be additional police coverage for the major traffic intersections, and if needed, police will override the street light to keep traffic flowing.

Not only will traffic be on the rise, one local restaurant in Reform is prepping for the increase in fans who will be passing through.

“We are going to be staffed and ready to serve customers and get them in and out as quick as possible,” Tabitha Perrigin, assistant manager of Jacks in Reform, Ala., said.

Traffic delays are expected Saturday along Hwy 82 East.
