STARKVILLE and OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – The rain has moved out and “Judgment Saturday, as our Sports Department is calling it, is less than 24 hours away in what could be the biggest weekend of college football in the state’s history.

Here’s a live look at “The Junction” in Starkville. Mississippi State fans and tailgaters are already getting ready for tomorrow morning’s game against Texas A&M. Bulldog Bash is in full swing in The Cotton District. Thousands are expected at that event and for the big game against the Aggies.
That means traffic is going to be slow going… extra time and extra patience will be needed.

WCBI’s Michelle Lowe is at the heart of campus with more, Michelle…

From Starkville to Oxford we go. The Rebels also have a big game tomorrow against Alabama.
This morning tailgaters ran to get their spot in “The Grove” and this evening tents are up…
as Ole Miss fans say… “We may lose the game but we’ve never lost a party.”

Part of the excitement is playing the Number One team in the country; the other part is ESPN’s “College Game Day” is visiting the campus for the first time. ESPN teams have been sharing insights and Grove stories live with their audiences all day, and the analysts are all looking forward to Saturday.

” For us its all about Saturday. Saturday morning what type of crowd we get, what type of energy. Everyone so far has been very hospitable, been great. The facilities are excellent.”
“We are thrilled to be here and looking forward to just looking at our set and we just taping some Sportscenter segments and looking out at the Grove, which I’ve never seen. I’ve been here for an Egg Bowl, but it’s during Thanksgiving and its like 45 to 50 degrees that doesn’t really count. This will be my first real experience of the Grove.”

You can watch the big game Saturday afternoon at 2:30 right here on WCBI.
