COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Cyclists from near and far came to support local police officer Kelvin Lee in a motorcycle rally.

Lee was diagnosed with stomach cancer at the beginning of the year. Since that time, him and his family have been surrounded with support from the law enforcement community.

“We just believe in supporting brotherhood even when the brothers are sick of whatever the situation is. We want to get out and do what we can do to help them and their families and try to preserve what we can to keep the peace,” said Gerald Hayes, a police officer from Louisville.

Cyclists drove from West Point to Aberdeen and included Kelvin Lee’s home for a quick visit on their route.
