STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Mississippi State University is cracking down on the misuse of student ID cards during game day festivities.

MSU Dean of Students Thomas Bourgeois announced that all MSU students will need a valid student ID to not only enter the game, but to also sit in the student section.

Bourgeois cautioned that students found allowing individuals other than themselves to use their ID will face disciplinary action, including the loss of athletic game privileges for the rest of the year.

Non-students found using an MSU ID card will be escorted from the game, and the ID card will be confiscated.
