MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY, Miss. (WCBI) — Training boys to be men. That’s the goal of Mississippi State University’s 3rd Annual “Men of Color Summit.” The event features panel discussions, speakers, and an oratory contest all to address the unique challenges men of color face on college campuses. The summit also promotes diversity and inclusion.

This year’s theme is “Global Competitiveness.” The “Men of Color summit” kicks off Thursday at the Hunter Henry Center from 10am to 2pm. It continues Friday morning at 11am in Colvard Student Union. The event is free and open to the public.
