Video: New Columbus Park in the Works

Columbus, MS (WCBI)–A downtown Columbus park could soon see some vast improvements. The city is applying for a $200,000 state transportation grant to add a music stage and other features to the area next to the Tennessee Williams Welcome Center on Main Street. The city is kicking in $10,000.00, and the Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau will contribute another $30,000.00. The Columbus City Council approved the city’s share of the funding at Tuesday night’s council meeting.
