COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-No decisions but some heated debate between the Columbus School Board and Superintendent Doctor Martha Liddell during a special meeting Wednesday night. Board members went into executive session shortly after the start of the special meeting but even closed doors couldn’t muffle some of the exchange between the board and Doctor Liddell. Board members peppered her with questions before asking her to leave the meeting for a few minutes and then return to the board room. Board Vice President Jason Spears would not disclose what was discussed or if questions were asked about a private Christmas party hosted by Liddell but paid for with school funds and staffed by school workers. No action was taken during the meeting.
