Video: Non-Profit Group Raising Money for Special Playground

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A local non-profit group is raising money for a special cause.

On Saturday, April’s Angels held its third annual Snow Angels Pageant.

For the past year, group members have been raising money to pay for a handicap accessible playground, which will be at the Itawamba Attendance Center.

The organization was founded in memory of April South, who was a strong advocate for children with special needs.

April’s Angels hopes to break ground on the playground in March.

More than 40 contestants – from babies to young adults – participated in the pageant.
