COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A local non-profit organization is reaching out to a family in need.

Rebecca’s Rooms surprised 12-year-old Logan Wheat with his dream bedroom – Monsters, Inc. – his favorite movie.

Logan has chromosome abnormality, which makes it harder for him to speak and learn.

Volunteers say they enjoyed giving Logan’s room a makeover. It was worth all the hard work.

“I’ve had two special education daughters and one of them passed away in 2010. That’s why we started Rebecca’s Rooms,” said Founder Reid Carter. “We love kids like this and our hearts with families like this and we understand what they’re going through especially in time of need.”

Carter says this is the third room the organization has renovated since it was founded.
