STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — The future was on the minds of Oktibbeha County residents Monday night. A public hearing was held at the Oktibbeha County courthouse to discuss a 20 year comprehensive plan. Residents asked about a variety of topics, including job growth in the county, infrastructure, alcohol sales, and retail development.

Discussions also turned to the lack of parks in the county. Slaughter and Associates of Oxford coordinated the forum. No final decisions were made but this will help county leaders craft a vision for the next two decades.
