STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — For years, those in Starkville’s Rock Hill Community have complained about Club Rock.

Oktibbeha County Sheriff Steve Gladney met with some of those residents.

They’re not only concerned about the shooting, but the nose and parking at the club.

Authorities say they plan on working alongside Oktibbeha County’s Board of Supervisors in tightening up the town’s night club law.

“We’re in the process of now coming up with a nightclub ordinance for the county. I want citizens of Oktibbeha County to know and understand that we’re not taking this lightly. That we’re doing everything we can to make sure that we correct these problems,” Oktibbeha County Sheriff Steve Gladney said.

Gladney also says the process is in its early stages.

Lowndes and Lee Counties have nightclub ordinances that limit their hours of operation.
