WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI)-It’ll likely be several more months before an Oktibbeha County murder suspect gets his day in court. During a hearing Friday, Oktibbeha County Circuit Court Judge Lee Howard allowed the attorney for Archie Quinn to withdraw from the case. That decision came just three days before Quinn was scheduled to go to trial on charges he killed his girlfriend Stacy Gray and wounded Terry Johnson at a home in Oktibbeha County in 2008. Quinn has been in jail since his arrest. His attorney, Chowke Lumumba, asked to withdraw from the case for health reasons and because he has shut down his law practice since being elected Jackson’s mayor earlier this year. A new attorney will have to be named to represent Quinn and then a new trial date will have to be set.
