TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Debris cleanup continues in Tupelo as well.

More than 200,000 cubic yards of debris was left by the EF-3 twister.

Twelve trucks are working on city streets now.

Eventually, 20 large trucks will be operating in residential areas.

A company is monitoring debris pickup and taking photos just before it’s hauled away.

That’s necessary Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regulations to help cover some costs.

Debris pickup in residential areas could take up to 90 days.
