OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — Oxford police have a man behind bars for a string of house burglaries.

Police have charged Christopher Suggs with nine counts of burglary.

The break-ins happened in January and March on Pleasant Drive – some while residents were at home.

Investigators say one homeowner ran after Suggs, and got his license plate number while he drove off.

Police say they were able to track Suggs down, and the victim identified him.

Suggs’ bond was set at $75,000.

He was already out of jail on probation.
