Video: Rainy Weather Could be Factor in 2 Lowndes Auto Accidents

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Rainy conditions may be to blame for at least two accidents early this afternoon on Hwy 82 in Columbus.

In one, a Nissan Sentra rear-ended a Honda Accord near the Hwy 50 exit. The Nissan sustained significant damage, but neither driver was injured.

In another accident not far from the latter, an SUV hydroplaned, causing the driver to lose control.

One person in the SUV was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injures.
