TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — Some Tupelo residents and their pets are showing their love for the King of Rock n’ Roll by playing Elvis impersonators, Saturday.

It was all for the 13th annual Elvis Look-a-Like Parade and Pageant.

22 pets and their owners showed off their Elvis costumes to a panel of celebrity judges.

There were five different categories, including most unusual owner, pet look-a-like, and overall pet winner.

“The proceeds actually go to benefit the Tupelo-Lee Humane Society,” said organizer Jessica Hollinger. “So everyone was having a little fun this morning, but at the same time we’re giving back to some little animals that really need it right now.”

The Tupelo-Lee Humane Society also had a booth set up at the event, so people could learn how they can adopt from the shelter.
