COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A Silver Alert is still in place, after a Chickasaw County man went missing over the weekend. Now search teams are working around the clock to find him.

“I just want my dad home,” says Bradford Harries, one of Willie Harries’ sons.

Those are the distraught words from a family looking for answers. Saturday night, the Harries family realized their elderly patriarch had disappeared. Seventy two-year old Willie C. Harries lives alone, but his children check in on him often.

“When I entered the house, he wasn’t in. I called his name out and he wasn’t present so I immediately jumped on the phone and called my brothers and text my sister,” says Harries.

The next morning they contacted the Houston Police Department. Search teams starting combing the area by Monday morning.

“We started getting this team together about 10:30 or so. We’re just running over the clues, you know from what we did yesterday. We thought we might have missed something. We’re just going to keep on looking until we run up on some clues,” says Chief Billy Voyles, of the Houston Police Department.

Harries is an African American male, five feet nine inches tall and weighing 158 pounds. The family says they are concerned about his physical and mental health.

“The heat, it is a factor. We don’t know if he has walked away or got in the car with someone. If anyone has any information, please feel free to call the Houston Police Department,” says Harries.

Willie Harries was last seen wearing a striped shirt and blues jeans.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Willie Harries, contact the Houston Police Department or the Chickasaw 911 Dispatch.
