Video: Severely Beaten Oktibbeha County Man Dies From Injuries

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — An Oktibbeha County man who was severely beaten early Sunday morning has died.

Coroner Michael Hunt says 55-year-old Alphonso Blair died yesterday at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Blair was taken to the hospital after authorities were called at about 6 a.m. Sunday to a home on Oak Road.

His body has been sent to Jackson for an autopsy.

Detective Brett Watson tells WCBI investigators are working solid leads in the case. They expect to make an arrest soon.
