Video: Softball Coach Remembered as Caring and Compassionate

FULTON & HICKORY FLAT, Miss. (WCBI) – Hickory Flat’s softball coach is being remembered as a top notch athlete, a caring and compassionate person and someone who touched many lives.

Cyndal Cleveland died Thursday evening in a car accident on Highway 371 in Itawamba County.Authorities say Cleveland’s car went down an embankment and hit some trees.

She was in her second year as a teacher and coach at Hickory Flat.Cleveland was a part of the ICC softball team in 2009 and 2010.

Her former coach, Chad Case, says she was a caring person and superb student, who also had a strong Christian faith.

“It’s tough when you lose someone so young with so much potential.As Christians we have to trust and trust that the Lord has a bigger plan for Cyndal and remember the good times, like I said there were no bad times in Cyndal’s life, everyday was a good day for her.”

Cleveland was alone in her car.Two others were injured in that wreck.
