NORTH MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) – Federal assistance numbers continue to climb across the state, as disaster recovery centers prepare to close. The DRC in Itawamba County will close at six Friday evening. Residents will still be able to register with FEMA by calling the help line. That number is on our website. All recovery centers will be closed on Sundays.

Thus far, eight million dollars in federal money has been given to Mississippi tornado victims. That’s an increase of two million in just one week.
34 hundred visits are recorded at DRC’s. Money is being provided for housing assistance, repairs, and medial assistance.
