JACKSON/STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A newly negotiated bill to merge Starkville City and Oktibbeha County Schools passed the House and Senate. The Joint House Conference Committee made small amendments to the merger bill before Tuesday’s presentation. Both bills originally called for Starkville superintendent Lewis Holloway to take over the merged district this July. Instead, Holloway and Oktibbeha County Conservator Margie Pulley will work together through the transition.
