Starkville, MS (WCBI)–Renovations or new buildings?  The Commission on Consolidation of Starkville and Oktibbeha County Schools continues to look at the best ways to bring the two school districts together.

Members met Tuesday morning ; the big topic was money.  How is the new school district going to afford the changes needed to successfully bring students under one umbrella.  Commission members are still looking at Fall 2015 for the actual consolidation; although, county students will be allowed to transfer into the city schools on a case by case basis.

Some students may be allowed to attend city schools for first period AP and Enrichment courses as early as this Fall. The Commission made revisions to the report they will present to the Mississippi Legislature. A final plan will have to be approved by the Justice Department.
