MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) — It’s the Black Friday of back-to-school shopping. Mississippi’s sales tax holiday begins this Friday, and lasts through Saturday.

Clothes and shoes under $100 per item are exempt from sales tax during the two days.

Accessories, backpacks and school supplies are not included.

Retailers typically offer extra discounts and deals to appeal to parents shopping for back-to-school clothes.
