TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)- The students against violence everywhere receives a grant from the Allstate Foundation. Tupelo High School is one of 33 schools in Mississippi and North Carolina that received a $1,000 mini grant which will be used to promote teen safe driving and youth safety efforts.
THS also received a free SAVE chapter affiliation which will start in January.
The save foundation was started at West Charlotte High School in North Carolina in 1989 following the death of a student who was trying to break-up a fight at an off-campus party.
THS was one 17 Mississippi schools – and the only one in Northeast Mississippi – to receive the funds.
