BRUCE, Miss. (WCBI) — Bruce residents will soon have an extra venue for entertainment. City alderman secured Cinema 22 Theater at public auction Monday, after approving a $40,000 budget last week. The city was able to purchase the building for $36,000. Bruce mayor Rudy Pope had hoped to keep the price down around $25,000.

Pope says renovations will be nominal, perhaps including paint, clean up, and repairing several seating panels. An official opening date has not been set, but Pope hopes to have the theater operational by late June or early July.
